If you have played on our Counter-Strike: Source and Day Of Defeat: Source servers, surely you have noticed they are configured for standard game modes; the classic hostage rescue or bomb detonation on CS:Source, and the classic capture the flag or detonation on DOD:Source.
All official maps are there, however we have loaded some custom maps on both servers due to their exceptional level of quality.
The Counter Strike: Source custom maps are all made by the long-ago expired Dimension Studios, which was "a game level, modelling, texture, and web design team", [DS Old Capture]. A total of 15, 7 of them hostage rescue maps, 8 of them bomb detonation maps.
The Day Of Defeat: Source custom maps are the popular Community Assembled Map Project (CAMP), two packs were produced by the community with the assistance and support of Valve. These are two separate installers. A total of 8, 6 of them territorial control maps, 2 of them detonation maps. And also, we have a custom map made by one of the Team FoxTare members, Arvi • dod_priority, a detonation gametype level.
Although we have fast download enabled on our servers, you may be interested in keeping these legacy packs stored somewhere on your hard drive for future-proofing; A description of the maps and the teams behind their creation is included inside.
Finally, now there are overviews for all the official maps released by Valve, one pack for CS:Source and another for DOD:Source. Quite useful for beginners!
